" I always compare my time spent in Turkey as a second life I got to live. New people, new culture, new food, new friends, new university.. Istanbul is one of the biggest city in Europe (2700km square)with almost 20 Million people living on it, and even though I have never liked huge cities, there wasn't a time where Turkey made me feel homesick. The warmth of its citizens is too incredible that I can't even find the right words to describe it. And the beauty of its landscapes and beaches is really out of this world. On another side, this exchange semester was a lifetime experience. Meeting hundreds and hundreds of international people, this exchange made me tour the world while being in a melting pot city. As much as I got attached to these people and I got sad because it ended, I'm really grateful that it happened. The positive thing that I have now is that I will feel home wherever I go. I will feel home in Columbia, in Spain, in Netherlands, in Germany, in Tunisia, in Romania, in Mexico.. and last but not least, I'm grateful to think that I still have a family waiting for me in Turkey. Teşekkürler Türkiye for everything and thank you UIR for giving me this opportunity!
